To fit our theme of “Read Beyond the Beaten Path,” we need to learn how to survive on that path! Join us for two fun day camps to learn outdoor survival skills. These events will be held off site at nature areas nearby. Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from the event. Registration required – registration opens June 1st. Designed for preteens and teens ages 10-18.
Tuesday, June 14th from 10:30a.m.-12:30p.m. – Learn how to build a shelter and a fire with our outdoorsy librarians! Lunch will be provided.
Thursday, June 16th from 3:00-4:30p.m. – Orienteering with County Conservation Naturalist Heather. Learn how to get around in the wild with just a map and a compass.
